I cannot say enough about the impact Square Knot Health has had on my journey with kidney disease and transplantation. Whether it was navigation of the process, encouragement, resource sharing, regular check-ins or record gathering and sharing, Square Knot Health has been a guardian angel to me and my family from the moment we were referred to their services. I have since received a successful transplant from a living donor, and am forever thankful for the critical role Square Knot played in this journey.
When we were referred, I was in late stage kidney disease (diabetes related) but my kidney function was still at a level that kept me ineligible for transplant listing. The process of getting listed, seeking a donor and actually getting a transplant seemed daunting, overwhelming and quite honestly out of reach.
Then we connected with Square Knot and everything changed. They quickly became, and continue to be, a resource to me and my entire family.
With the guidance of Square Knot, we were able to immediately take proactive steps in both my health management and preparation for the listing and transplant processes. Square Knot facilitated record and information sharing with different healthcare providers involved in my care to facilitate getting listed and the continuing coordination of care. They also did this while always making themselves available for any questions or concerns that we had along the way.
Square Knot helped us develop a plan that eased our minds, kept our focus and kept us optimistic about the entire process - which is crucially important for those dealing with end-stage renal disease.
All in all, Square Knot has been an invaluable resource to me and my family. Thanks to their dedicated help and proactive guidance, I was able to avoid dialysis, seek a living donor and receive a successful transplant without feeling overwhelmed or discouraged during any part of the process.
I would encourage any and everyone involved with similar circumstances to reach out to Square Knot. The entire process, and all the unknown that goes with it, can be extremely overwhelming and seem difficult to manage. With Square Knot, you’ll know you have a valuable resource and guiding hand each step of the way.
“I can’t begin to state what an incredible resource Square Knot has been. They helped streamline facets of the transplant process and eliminate preventable delays when every minute counts. They were the missing link, tying together me, my transplant center and my nephrologist. They also guided potential donors with their questions and concerns, and provided feedback on what to expect and pitfalls to avoid. The type of insight and guidance they provide can only come from someone with a lot of experience. They help me overcome my fears, and answered my questions, and gave me overwhelming confidence about transplant that I would not have had without them. I highly recommend Square Knot Health and Dr. Heher!”
“When I refer a patient to Square Knot Health, it is like prescribing hope. I have not had one patient come back unhappy after one of their interactions with you or your staff.”
“When I ask my patients if they would recommend the Square Knot service to my other patients, the answer is a resounding yes!”
“You and your team have worked wonders with my patients. They all have high praise for the engagement and support they are receiving from Square Knot Health.”
“Great idea, and there is a great need for this...I would definitely consider using such a service for our patients to refer to transplant.”
“What a wonderful service Square Knot Health provides – I’m glad I know about you, and I’ll keep you in mind for others!”
“If I had one place to call for a transplant evaluation, I would do it. It would be a great service. I would very much be in favor of a transplant ‘clearinghouse’ that would serve all transplant centers. I get frustrated with the opaqueness of the process.”
“Transplant Centers don’t have the manpower to lead people through the process. They put up barriers. A service to guide people to transplant would be very valuable.”
“This is a very patient-centric idea…it would be wildly beneficial.”
“I just looked over your information and it looks great. It clear states who you are, what the current problems are, and how your company would be part of the solution.”
